Ruthless-birthday
Isibane strode down the hallway, moving briskly, reading the missive as he went. Tersh was ready to fall, they would have to move again soon. He sighed. As much as he supported Diemzhon, it was quite annoying that they were never in one place long enough to really call it home.
He yelped as someone grabbed him around the waist and pulled him into a doorway, only registering that it was Diemzhon before he was being kissed, deeply and thoroughly. He clung to Diem as he was overcome with a fit of dizziness. How long had he wanted this? And gods, his king was a good kisser…
The king broke the kiss slowly, licking his Seer’s lips and smiling down into his eyes. Isibane blinked up at him and gathered his scattered wits. “What was that for?” he asked. It had always been an unspoken agreement between them that any distractions they might find in each other would have to wait until their goals for Vesamba were complete, and that was still far in the future, years perhaps, despite their progress.
Diemzhon grinned. “I just thought I would wish you a happy birthday.”
The seer blinked again, and then smiled. He had totally forgotten that today was his twenty-first birthday. “You know, this isn’t going to get you out of getting me a present.”
The king only laughed.
